Cambridge Flat Roofing are set to undertake over £500,000 of flat roofing works for the University of Cambridge in 2013, having recently secured another large asphalt project for the University, this time on the Cripps Building of St John’s College.
The project includes the removal and reinstatement of 1,500m2 of polymer modified roofing grade asphalt, including the introduction of a levelling screed and tapered insulation to aid with drainage and to bring the building up to current building regulations standards.
Cambridge Flat Roofing are also currently in the second year of a three year development of Selwyn College, which includes the installation of a high performance PVC single ply membrane, plus tapered insulation and photovoltaic systems across 2,000m2 of roofing works.
In addition to this, roofing works have also been carried out on the Departments of Veterinary Medicine, Geography and Physics, as well as Clare, Homerton, Emmanuel and Peterhouse Colleges, with works including asphalt, single ply, liquid applied systems, felt and tiling.
